What's a WebRing?

A WebRing is a group of World Wide Web sites that have a common theme. They are typically linked together through an image or text identifying them as members. You start with one site and then you move to another site via special HTML code each member has inserted on their page. Eventually you will get back to the page you started with - hence, a Webring. See the WebRing homepage for more information.

To Join

If you do not have a homesite yet, (we will make one for you for free) or you do not have an Email address, you will have to write to us through the post office. Send us a copy of your brochure and a note that you are interested in the Florida Bed and Breakfast Webring.

If you do have a homesite and an Email address, there are 2 steps.

1. First, add your web page to the queue using the form directly below.
2. If not immediately, then via e-mail you should be given a unique site ID number to add to your ring fragment (so make sure your e-mail address is correct, and e-mail me if you don't get the number).
3. Then, via e-mail, you will receive an HTML ring fragment to add to your page. Be sure to enter all YOUR information when you add the fragment.
   • The ring fragment MUST be added to your page somewhere. The ring fragment will come in e-mail after you add your page to the queue.
     
   • Edit the appearance as you like to suit your style, but don't disturb the links. They make the ring work.
4. Next, after you add the ring fragment with YOUR information to the html of your web page, your web page will be ready for addition to the ring.
5. The designated ringmaster will scan the queue occasionally and add queued sites to the ring
   (so don't be too upset if you aren't added right away; there are more than 16,000 bed and breakfast inns in the United States.)
6. Your page will NOT be added if:
   • It does not have the ring fragment in your html
   • The ring fragment is incorrect or incomplete
   • It is not an appropriate Florida Bed and Breakfast page

Note: If The Bed and Breakfast Ring HTML code isn't added to your site 7 days after it has been in the queue, your site will be removed from the queue. Also, if your site contains offensive material, you will be removed from the queue.
