The Garratt Mansion has been certified by the California Association of Bed & Breakfast Inns and is rated Excellent by the American Bed & Breakfast Association.

The Garratt Mansion is nestled in the quiet island community of Alameda, just 15 miles from downtown San Francisco or Berkeley.
This Colonial Revival built in 1983 still retains the elegance of another era as seen in the extensive redwood and oak panelling throughout and the large stained glass windows. The furnishings throughout are antiques that compliment the original architecture but are comfortable when you want to curl up with a book.

Chocolate chip cookies are baked fresh each afternoon and hot and cold beverages are available 24 hours. Fresh flowers abound both in the gardens and in the house. We really love to share the abundance that california has to offer, not only in the flowers but in the fresh fruits, herbs and cheeses and great sights.

Business travelers find us convenient in location to the Bay Area, major freeways and the Oakland Airport. The early breakfasts, direct phone lines and work areas in the room is like having an office at home.

At the Garratt Mansion we can help you maximize your vacation time or leave you alone to regroup or conduct business.

The rates are for double occupancy and include a full breakfast served from 7:30 to 9:30 in the dining room or a basket brought to your room; local phone calls; beverages; afternoon snacks. Local tax will be added.
Corporate rates are available.

Inn Policies.

Check-in after 3:00 p.m. Please let us know your approximate arrival time. Check-out 11:00 a.m.
A deposit is required to confirm the reservation.
Cancellations must be made 3 clays in advance of arrival for a full refund.
No Smoking / No Pets.
The Mansion is an exceptional setting for intimate weddings, receptions, private gatherings and small meetings. Gift certificates are also available for special occasions.
